Fall Body Scrub

Autumn Equinox

Even before we notice the leaves changing colors – which happens far later here in Southern California than the rest of the country – we sense the change of the seasons as summer starts to wind down in the northern hemisphere.

The Autumn Equinox gives us a chance to honor the harvest, either in the literal sense as we enjoy the bounty of fruits and vegetables available right now or possibility the fruits of our labor and efforts towards goals or intentions that we set forth earlier in the year.

For our ancestors, the changing seasons represented pivotal points in the cycle of nature where they could pause and consider a deeper meaning about their lives. Many indigenous peoples were well aware of our innate connection to the earth and it’s wisdom and recognized the four celestial events as part of their spirtual journeys.

Wednesday, September 22, 2021, officially marks the beginning of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and the start of spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Our Fall Equinox Celestial scrub brings your body into sync this event and honors the themes of gratitude and abundance.

With essential oils of Clove, Cedarwood, Copaiba, Cinnamon Bark and Wild Orange, this is like a pumpkin spice latte for your skin!

The Autumn Equinox ushers in  a season of abundance, harvest, brilliant color, and warm festivities that embrace our ancestors, family, and gratitude. The equinox is a day where day and night are at equal lengths. Our days get shorter until the Winter Solstice in December, the shortest day of our year.

I believe the fall crystals I have selected compliment the warm and festive attributes of the season and planetary transitional events that take place over the next few months:

  • Carnelian – boosts energy to help with the changing of the seasons
  • Hematite – helps with reflection, memory and deep thinking
  • Red Jasper – a vibrant grounding stone, assists with learning
